レバノンには、ろう者のための通訳サービス事務所はないが、ろう学校と協力して、資格は無くとも流暢な手話のできる通訳者を提供している。たとえば、ろう者の学習センターで我々を呼び出し、裁判や警察署での通訳を要求すれば、その人に適した通訳を探すことになる。(In Lebanon, we do not have an office for interpreting services for the deaf; what we have is co-ordination by the schools for the deaf to provide interpreters who are not qualified, but are fluent signers. For example, a deaf person may request an interpreter for court or at a police station by calling us at the Learning Centre for the Deaf, and we then look for a suitable interpreter to help him out.)
